Green Technology Applications

Invent simple yet innovative solutions to promote sustainability in everyday life. This could involve designing eco-friendly alternatives to common products, such as reusable water bottles, biodegradable packaging, or energy-efficient devices. Projects will be assessed based on their creativity, practicality, and potential impact on the environment.

Waste Management Innovations

Design and implement waste reduction initiatives within their school or local community. This could include organizing recycling drives, creating composting bins for organic waste, or repurposing materials to make new products. Projects will be evaluated based on their effectiveness in reducing waste and promoting recycling habits.

Renewable Energy Solutions

Create models or prototypes of renewable energy sources such as solar panels, wind turbines, powerbank or etc. Students will need to demonstrate how these renewable energy technologies can be used to power small devices or appliances and reduce reliance on fossil fuels.

CRITERIA

Creativity (40%):
Creative Design: The use of imaginative and innovative approaches to solve environmental problems.
Presentation: The clarity and creativity of the project presentation, including visual aids or demonstrations.

Sustainability (40%):
Environmental Impact: The potential of the project to contribute to environmental sustainability and conservation efforts.
Resource Efficiency: The efficient use of materials and resources in the project design and implementation.
Long-Term Sustainability: Consideration of the project’s sustainability beyond the competition, including its potential for continued use or expansion.

Practicality (20%):
Feasibility: The feasibility of implementing the project within a school or community setting.
Ease of Use: The user-friendliness and accessibility of the project for intended users.
Affordability: The cost-effectiveness of the project and its accessibility to a wide range of stakeholders.
